This privacy statement covers the web site acsworldwide.com (“Web Site”) provided by QI Consulting, Inc. dba Applied Cognitive Solutions (“ACS”) but not the Internet Service Provider (ISP) hosting the Web Site or any other third parties.

Information Collection and Use

Information Collection
ACS is the sole owner of the information collected on acsworldwide.com. ACS may collect information from our users at several different points on the Web Site.

Information Use
Information collected is used to understand the usage of the site and as a basis for deciding other information to provide or alterations to be made to the Web Site. Information may also be used to develop and/or refine service offerings by ACS and ACS’s customer service.

Profile
We may store information that we may collect through cookies, log files, clear gifs, and/or third parties to create a profile of our users. A profile is stored information that we keep on individual users that details their viewing preferences. Consequently, collected information may be tied to the user’s personally identifiable information to provide offers and improve the content of the site for the user. This profile may be used to tailor a user’s visit to our Web Site, and to direct pertinent marketing promotions to them. We currently do not share your profile with other third parties.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user. At this time, usage of a cookie is in no way linked by ACS to any personally identifiable information while on the Web Site. We may use session ID cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates.

Log Files
Like most standard web site servers, we may use log files. This includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
We may employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of web users. The main difference between the two is that clear gifs are invisible on the page and are much smaller, about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.

Clear Gifs can "work with" existing cookies on a computer if they are both from the same web site or advertising company. That means, for example, that if a person visited “www.companyX.com,” which uses an advertising company's clear gif, the web site or advertising company would match the clear gif's identifier and the advertising company's cookie ID number, to show the past online behavior for that computer. This collected information would then be given to the advertising company or web site.

In addition, we may use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by the recipients. If users would like to opt-out of these emails, please see the opt-out section included in the email.

Communications from the Site

Newsletter
If a user wishes to subscribe to our newsletter under development, we ask for contact information such as name and email address. Out of respect for our users’ privacy we provide a way to opt-out of these communications. Please see the appropriate sections when registration and the newsletter are available.

Customer Service
We communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and in regards to other issues relating to the user to which we may reply via email or phone or other means, in accordance with the user’s wishes.

Sharing

Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law or wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, or legal process served on ACS or the Web Site.

Aggregate Information
We currently do not share aggregated demographic information with any third parties.

Business Transitions
In the event ACS goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling some or all of its assets, users’ personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred.

Choice/Opt-out
Our users are given the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having their information used for purposes not directly related to the Web Site at the point where we use the information. For example, a newsletter will have information on how to opt out receiving the newsletter.

Links
The Web Site may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that ACS is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. Users are encouraged users to be aware of leaving the Web Site and to read the privacy statements of any web site that collects personally identifiable information. The ACS Privacy Statement applies solely to information collected by AC on the Web Site and not to information collected by another other entity or service provider at any location.

Notification of Changes
If there are any changes made to the ACS Privacy Statement, the changes will be posted on the Web Site. If, however, the change is such that users’ personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, users will be notified by the by the posting of a notice on the Web Site for a period of time to be determined by ACS.
